Life Groups
Meeting at the church facility Thursday 7- 8:30 pm
Coordinator: Todd Briggs
Vision: A highly relational environment for discipleship multiplication
Serving Opportunities:
- Small Group Apprentice: Working under a small group leader to one day lead a group.
Agape Community Center
Coordinator: Becca Landy
Vision: Activating volunteers to participate in the Agape Center programs for at risk children.
Serving Opportunities:
- Ministry Coordinator: Someone to recruit and coordinate volunteer activity.
- After School Tutors: Tutor elementary age students between 3 and 5 PM (weekly)
- Dinner for Kids: Provide and serve meals to kids in the after school program (monthly).
Saving Throw
Coordinator: Keith Gaspard
Vision: Hosting role playing gatherings focused on developing gospel sharing relationships.
Serving Opportunities:
- Setup & Cleanup: Prepare a space for the gathering. Clean up after.
- Hang Out: Attend the gathering to represent Midtown church and build relationships.
Street Lights
Coordinator: Todd Briggs
Vision: To raise awareness about sex trafficking here in Atlanta and around the world by hosting concert events and activating volunteers to work with existing ministries that battle this menace.
Serving Opportunities:
- Pre-Event Coordinator: Recruit performers and ministries to participate in these events.
- Event Staff: Help with logistics, setup, and hosting of the events.
Sunday Morning Setup and Greeting
Coordinator: Charles Burnley /Luanne Rockett
Vision: To create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere on Sunday
Serving Opportunities:
- Coordination: Make sure people know when and what they are doing before the service starts.
- Monthly Volunteer: Once a month assist with preservice activities
Children’s Ministry
Coordinator (temporary): Barbie Briggs
Vision: To take care of children during the teaching/sermon. To present Biblical lessons to the children.
Serving Opportunities:
- Ministry Coordinator: Select curriculum, recruit and train volunteers, supervise development of lesson plans, and be responsible for overall tone and environment of the ministry.
- Teacher: Help develop lesson plans and lead a class on a regularly scheduled basis.
Food 4 Thought
Coordinator (temporary): Todd Briggs
Vision: To invite people to see God’s heart by helping feed people
Serving Opportunities:
- Ministry Coordinator: Someone with a heart for this ministry to schedule and run the quarterly food drives then deliver the food to The Atlanta Community Food Bank.
- Distribution and Pickup Volunteers: Distribute bags to the neighborhood and pick up the donations two days later (4 times a year).
