Mark wastes no time getting to the heart of his Gospel: Who is Jesus? From its opening lines, Mark presents Jesus not merely as a teacher or miracle worker, but as the promised King in whom God himself has drawn near. And as we encounter his astonishing authority, gracious mercy, and call to discipleship, Mark invites us not only to discover who Jesus is, but to consider what it means to follow him.
