Romans 8: God is for Us
This summer, our Kids Ministry is exploring Romans 8—one of the most hope-filled and life-changing chapters in the Bible. Throughout the series, children will discover what it means to live with the freedom and confidence that comes from belonging to Jesus.
Week by week, we'll journey through Romans 8 together, learning that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, how the Holy Spirit helps us follow Jesus every day, what it means to be adopted into God's family, and how God uses even difficult circumstances for our good and His glory. As we continue through the chapter, we'll discover the incredible hope of our future with Christ and finish by celebrating the unshakable promise that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Each lesson is designed to help kids understand and enjoy God's Word through engaging Bible teaching, object lessons, worship, games, hands-on activities, Scripture memory, and meaningful discussion. Together, we'll define important words, unpack each passage verse by verse, ask thoughtful questions, review what we've learned, and discover how the truths of Romans 8 change the way we think, live, and follow Jesus every day.
Our prayer is that every child leaves this series knowing not only what Romans 8 says, but also believing with confidence that God is for us.

Our passionate desire is to help kids experience the love of Jesus
The mission of Midtown Kids is to make Jesus known and to come alongside parents as they raise up a new generation of followers of Jesus. We do this by being deeply rooted in Jesus so that when kids scatter from our building they have a desire to make Jesus known to their friends and family. From the infant who joins us in the nursery all the way up to a child graduating into Midtown Youth, we are committed to helping children grow each Sunday. We then seek to partner and assist parents as they lay a foundation of faith for the kids throughout the rest of the week.
Each team member who serves with Midtown Kids is here to cultivate meaningful relationships with the kids who come through our doors. Our passionate desire is to help kids experience the love of Jesus. We do this by engaging with God’s written word, not just by reading it, but by immersing our kids in it! This is done through conversations, questions, games, art, team challenges and fun. We want to help our kids become deeply rooted in God’s word and to fall in love with Jesus.
