What is Alpha?

Alpha is a 9-week course (plus one Alpha Day) where people can explore the Christian faith in a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment.

Each evening includes:

  • Dinner together

  • A short video exploring life and faith

  • Honest discussion in small groups

Alpha is designed to help people ask questions, share their opinions, and explore Christianity at their own pace.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for anyone (from grade 8 to adult) who is curious about Jesus or the Christian faith, including:

  • Friends and family, neighbours, coworkers, classmates

  • Skeptics and seekers

  • Those returning to church

  • New believers

The best invitation is a personal invitation from someone they know... but we can't invite anyone just yet. First we need people willing to serve.

Registration & Privacy

When you register, you’ll be taken to Church Center, a communication platform used by many churches across North America. Midtown uses Church Center to register for ministry opportunities, including Alpha.

The information you provide will be kept private and used only for registration purposes.

You do not need a Church Center account to register. If you’re not comfortable using the platform or would prefer another way to register, please email nicole@midtownchurch.com. Let her know you’d like to register for Alpha, and she will help you complete your registration privately.

Help Make Alpha Possible

Alpha depends on people who are willing to welcome guests, prepare meals, lead conversations, pray, provide childcare, and help behind the scenes.

There are both on-site and at-home opportunities, with different levels of commitment.
