Prayer

Prayer, at the very least, includes adoration of God, confession of sins, thanksgiving, and supplication. Participants will be subdivided into gender specific, small prayer groups or partners. This is done intentionally so participants are discipled or disciple others to help them learn to pray, practice prayer, and have space to share prayer requests with someone they trust.

Prayer Format

Prayer is done in partners or groups of three, which remain the same for the duration of the session. These partners or groups are called Discipleship partners.

  
        Why
        This promotes intimacy and accountability, and encourages shepherding one another.
Follow up and encourage one another during the week.
Ensures people pray.

        Who
        Partners/groups chosen by the leader - guys with guys, gals with gals.

        What
        Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication.
Prayer should include personalizing a verse from the time of meditation.

        How
        10 minutes Person A: Confesses sins and shares prayer requests.
10 minutes Person B: Does the same thing as Person A.
10 minutes pray for each other. This is not a time for counseling.
Time is adjusted for groups of three.
