Most of us know the challenge of navigating the disappointments of life with true faith. Each time things don't turn out the way we hoped, or our prayers seem to go unanswered, our hearts are tempted to become hard or bitter. What we don't always realize is the way God is working in and through those hardships to expose our hearts and draw us to himself in hope. This is what we find in our passage from 2 Kings 4:8-37.

The tower of Babel was humanity coming together to make a name for themselves by trying to reach up to heaven. The result was God confusing their language and scattering them throughout the earth. This Pentecost Sunday we explore how Pentecost is the great Babel reversal.

In this last Sunday message of 2024 we look at a passage from Jude where we are reminded of the call to persevere. We learn four crucial elements of perseverance that demand, by God's grace, our remembrance, readiness, response and rest.

The Word of God is full of the message of His grace. Christ died in our place to purchase our salvation. It is a free gift which costs us nothing. Our sins are forgiven and we are made right with God by grace which we appropriate by faith. But to be a disciple is a commitment which costs us everything. If we will share in Christ's glory we must be willing to share in his suffering. Are you willing to pay the price?

In the Great Commission, Jesus commands his disciples to make disciples.  That  began a process of multiplication that would take the Gospel to " the ends of the earth."  In this message, we will look at the call of Jesus to discipleship as the first disciples experienced it.  We will look at the process by which the Greatest Disciple Maker "made" ordinary people into those He could use to join him in the greatest mission on earth.

With so much going on today, so much cultural noise, and our pressured lives, it’s all too easy to lose focus. This message seeks to reorient us as to what really matters - Jesus, the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit.
